Kofi D. O. Boahene, co-director of the division of facial plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins, is recognized for his expertise in facial reanimation techniques, facial reconstruction and advanced approaches in facial trauma surgery. Trained at the Mayo Clinic and fellowship trained by Peter Hilger, Dr. Boahene has great experience and lectures extensively on these subjects.
Jarl Bunaes is one of Norways leading facial plastic surgeons. Dr. Bunaes lectures frequently on advanced concepts of facial rejuvenation surgery. He is a recognized expert in resurfacing techniques, including various peels. Dr. Bunaes is an active member of the EAFPS and has been hinired to become president of the EAFPS annual conference in Oslo 2013.
Mark Constantian has acquired global recognition for his contributions to facial plastic surgery and rhinoplasty surgery. Among his numerous publications is the recent textbook "Rhinoplasty - Craft and Magic". Dr. Constantian is a regular invited speaker at the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and other respected societies.
Grant Hamilton, director of the division of facial plastic surgery at the Mayo Clinic, represents the experience of one of the largest surgical centers of excellence globally. The surgical courses at the Mayo Clinic are recognized for outstanding didactics and attract participants from all over the world. Dr. Hamilton acts as co-director of the Regensburg Course, many aspects of the excellent Mayo Clinic courses will be incorporated into the Regensburg course through an official collaboration with the Mayo Clinic.
Sam Lam is regarded a globally recognized expert in facial rejuvenation surgery. He has authored multiple textbooks about his innovative yet time tested surgical techniques. Dr. Lam is a true leader in the field of facial lipostructure surgery and blepharoplasty.
Ralph Magritz is one of Europe´s leading experts in microtia repair and auricular reconstruction. Dr. Magritz performs a substantial number of microtia repairs in Recklinghausen, one of Europe´s largest centers for these sophisticated procedures. In addition to his renown expertise in microtia repair, Dr. Magritz lectures on advanced procedures in facial reanimation and other facial plastic procedures.
Uwe Müller-Vogt is an expert surgeon in facial plastic surgery with emphasis on rhinoplasty and facial reconstruction. In his function as co-director he has contributed substantially to the inauguration and development of the Regensburg Courses. Dr. Müller-Vogt recently joined a reputable surgical practice in Bad Tölz, Germany.
Janice Pastorek is a recognized expert in the treatment of the face with fillers and injectables. She has been a consultant and adviser to physicians on non-surgical facial skin rejuvenation around the world. The New York Academy of Medicine, American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, Unilever, Estee Lauder, Coty, Guerlain, Camay, and Vaseline Intensive Care are some of the companies and institutions that have sought her expertise as a consultant or educator.
Norman Pastorek is one of the most respected facial plastic surgeons world wide. In fact, Dr. Pastorek has been listed as one of the top five rhinoplasty surgeons world wide by W Magazine, and he is listed among “The Best Doctors in America” and “America’s Top Doctors”. Dr. Pastorek is a highly requested speaker at the courses and conferences accross the world. Besides rhinoplasty, Dr. Pastorek has a wealth of experience to share in blepharoplasty and face lift surgery
Dr. Perkins is globally recognized as an expert facial plastic surgeon. Dr. Perkins lectures extensively on his profound expertise in facel lift surgery, periorbital rejuvenation and rhinoplasty. Dr. Perkins is a fellowship director pof the AAFPRS and has contributed substantially to the scientific literature.
Joachim Quetz is recognized as one of Germany´s leading experts in facial and nasal reconstruction. As head of the division of facial plastic surgery at the University of Kiel, Dr. Quetz is a frequent lecturer on difficult and total nasal reconstruction procedures and other reconstructive options of the face and neck.
Julian Rowe-Jones is internationally recognized for his expertise in rhinoplasty surgery. Dr. Rowe-Jones is a frequent lecturer at international conferences and meetings. As director of the fellowship program of the EAFPS, Dr. Rowe-Jones has been instrumental in promoting education and training of young surgeons accross Europe.
Dr. Sousa-Vieira is one of Portugals top rhinoplasty surgeons. Dr. Sousa Vieira is a frequent lecturer at international meetings. Moreover he has contributed enormously in his function as treasurer of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery to the success and growth of EAFPS and its associated surgical training programs.
Jonathan Sykes is the president-elect of the AAFPRS and director of the division of facial plastic surgery at the University of California at Davis Medical Center. Dr. Sykes has contributed enormously to the advancement of facial plastic surgery. As faculty at international courses and meetings, Dr. Sykes lectures extensively on surgical rejuvenation of the face, rhinoplasty, reconstruction of clefts and craniofacial defects, patient communication skills and many more Dr. Sykes will take over the presidency of the worlds largest association of facial plastic surgeons and become president of the AAFPRS in 2010.
Program Chairs
Lukas Prantl is the director of the center for plastic and esthetic surgery at the University of Regensburg. Besides his excellent expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the breast and abdomen, Dr. Prantl has published substantially on basic research on fat derived stem cells. Moreover, Dr. Prantl has contributed enormously to research of the public perception of the aesthetically ideal periorbital complex.
Prof. Torsten Reichert is chair of the department of maxillofacial surgery and dean of the medical faculty at the University of Regensburg, Germany.
Prof. Reichert is an expert surgeon in cleft repair, sliding genioplasty and facial reconstruction. As invited lecturer at multiple international meetings, Prof. Reichert shares his tremendous experience and contributes valuable experiences from the maxillofacial perspective.
Prof. Strutz is director and chair of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the University of Regensburg. Prof. Strutz was instrumental in establishing a subspecialty center of excellence in facial plastic surgery. He has contributed since the inauguration of the course to a scientific program that meets the highest international standards.
